It's been a crazy year. Lot's of riding and lots of crazy weather. This past weekend brought both to the greater Minneapolis area. Just after getting a good ride in on Saturday, a good size storm blew in.
When it rains (yes, that white stuff is hail)....
It pours.....
My Fox 120mm F29 showed up on Friday. That's two new forks in 2 weeks. Yeah! Can't wait to do back to back comparisons.
While all this new stuff is fun, it is a busy time for me and it isn't leaving me much time to do some of the things I want to do.
I really want to jump into touring equipment and discuss some of the equipment I used on my Alaska to Utah jorney. I've started my research on racks. I'm also digging into touring frames. In both cases, I'm looking at it from a then and now perspective. In both cases, I think I know what I'd choose today. It might surprise you. Stay tuned.

All you needed was a glass of tea with all those ice cubes....
Dude! Nice fork. I'm betting the Reba will be a plusher, stiffer fork. It'll be interesting to see what you think on that when you have had some time on both.
Also, I am keenly interested in your take on touring for "today". I've been mulling this over in my mind a bit lately too. All I'll say right now is that it would take two different bikes to do all the touring I'm thinking about.
Fun stuff to contemplate, but I'd rather be riding! Let's pray for some decent weather, eh? (Selfish, I know but hey! I'm just being honest here!)
Man, you know how to make a brotha' jealous. That's an envy-producing stable. Much better than my broken Manitou and clapped-out 3-year old Reba that can only run at 85mm of travel or else it leaks (and resulting hurting plates in my right arm). I probably should buy some new forks, 'eh?
It was too bad about that Manitou... Talk about wasted cash.
